I need to motivate you to write. You should start posting your thoughts. No pressure, does not have to be something special, just something from within you (an observation, an opinion, a personal experience). I do hope you start doing it soon.

Sunil
Thank you for your encouragement.

Actually I have been thinking of writing something for the Times of India or other papers. There is also enough material written by my father during his life time which could be edited for publication as a book.

I find that presently, I am spending too much time on many unproductive activities which may not be of much benefit to me or anybody else

Hi! I completely agree with Sunil- you must not waste this great talent! And :D I needen't put it so many words seeing that you already have written what i might have! Go ahead friend! You have all my best wishes!
Oh yes, I just read another comment of yours---if you can spread your writing around you do earn enough, but if it's just one publication, not possible, as they're bound to limit you to one or two articles a month (like TOI) most publications pay around Rs.2-3per word. And no I don't mind sharing this!!! BTW, what did your father write?

Hi Madhumita

Seeing you after a long gap here and on the B blog where you are almost missing. Good if you are able to use that time for your writings and other productive work.
Good to get de-addicted from the Blog.

Thanks for sharing the information and for the words of encouragement to write. When such wise advice is coming my way so sincerely, I must stop and consider it seriously. I would definitely try to write more and for a more productive and constructive purpose.

Right from his school and college days, my father was fond of writing (and what a beautiful handwrting he had). He also used to maintain a daily diary of what was going on that day and in his life. The other writings are from his time in Lahore as a college student - those were the days of India's freedom struggle. He was also very fond of Ghalib.I intend to take those papers out and see what could be done . Any suggestions?

A tradition which is being taken forward by his son, albeit, in the form of a blog! It'd be like reliving a life, reading your father's diaries--maybe you'll find a book in there??
You're right de-addicting has been to my good! I'm thankful to Ab for bringing some wonderful people in my life.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes indeed the biggest bonus of being a regular on the AB blog has been the introduction to some wonderful persons (who now feel like family). Thanks Mr. Bachchan for making this possible.
